Dinner is fine. Dinner is also what everyone defaults to when nobody has a better idea — two people across a table, working to think of things to say.
A comedy show is a plan. You sit next to each other instead of across from each other, something happens, and afterwards you have something to talk about that isn't work.
Date night
Ninety minutes, doors an hour before, dinner from BBQ4LIFE if you want it, and a bar that stocks real non-alcoholic options alongside the usual. A 7:00 show has you out by around 8:30, which leaves the rest of the evening open rather than eating it.
It's a 150+ seat room, so there's no bad seat and nobody's watching from the back of a hall. That's most of the pitch: it's small, and you're close.
One tip. Look the comic up first. Every show on our calendar has its own page with a bio and credits, and two minutes on YouTube tells you a lot. The person doing clean crowd work and the person doing dark material about their divorce are both excellent, and they are not the same evening out.
Birthdays and celebrations
Bring the group. Tell us it's a birthday when you book and we'll seat you together — and if you mention it to the host, there's a decent chance it comes up on stage, which is either the best or the worst thing that can happen to a birthday depending on your friend.
Things people celebrate here: milestone birthdays, bachelorette and bachelor parties, divorce parties (genuinely common), graduations, and the "we all work together but we actually like each other" night out.

Use the code GROUP11+ at checkout. One catch worth knowing before you start: every ticket has to be bought at the same time, in a single order, for the code to work. So collect everyone's yes first, then buy once.

Before you book
Tickets are $5 cheaper online than at the door. Most shows are 18+, with younger guests welcome alongside a parent or guardian. There's a two-drink minimum per person — drinks run $3 to $10 and don't have to be alcoholic, and here's why it exists. Doors open an hour before showtime, and 30 to 40 minutes early is the sweet spot. Parking is free and on site, two miles from downtown.
